On the occasion of the bicentennial of Charles Baudelaire’s birth on April 9, 1821, the Musée d’Orsay celebrates the leading 19th century poet by hosting a series of weekly readings by creative figures from all over the world. Each figure designs their own video in homage to Baudelaire.
Mohamed Bourouissa created Lost (2022) to address Baudelaire in a contemporary manner—confronting both the synesthesia of Baudelaire’s “Correspondences” and the changes in Paris evoked by the poet. Sound by Mohamed Bourouissa and words by @leacombacal.
